In accordance with the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, smoking is not permitted anywhere on hospital property.
This includes no smoking inside the building, on courtyards, porches and surrounding hospital grounds. Smoking is also not permitted in hospital parking lots or in personal vehicles on hospital property.
The Smoke-Free Ontario Act applies to all inpatients, outpatients, visitors, volunteers and staff. The property is 100% smoke free.
Violations of the Smoke-Free Ontario Act could result in a $305 fine for indivduals.
Providence Care Hospital is located next to Lake Ontario Park. As per Bylaw No. 2002-231, smoking is not permitted in Lake Ontario Park.
