The Westwood School offers educational programs designed to meet the needs of individuals who are challenged with a serious mental health disability.
The school operates four-and-a-half days a week, September to June, and has two teaching staff from the Limestone School of Continuing Education. Mental Health Services’ volunteers as well as students from St. Lawrence College’s Behavioural Science Technology program provide assistance.
Students are clients of Providence Care Mental Health Services or Frontenac Community Mental Health Services.
The school provides one-on-one attention and learning tailored to each student, in collaboration with the student’s care team.
By caseworker or doctor, and accepted on a continuous intake basis full-time or part-time.
