The Supported Living Program provides ongoing (up to 24-hour) services for adults with severe acquired brain injury who need specialized support to be part of the community. Participants live in their own homes or apartments, usually with another person of their choice who is also receiving 24-hour support.
The program helps people to maintain stable accommodation, manage activities of daily living, engage in productive activities, and develop social supports. Service provided by RCBIS is intended to complement the person's participation in other community services and activities.
There is a waiting list which is monitored closely.
