Driving and Dementia

The Driving and Dementia Working Group of the Kingston Frontenac Lennox and Addington (KFLA) Dementia Network was struck with local clinicians, Driving Assessment Centre Staff and Ministry of Transportation Representatives in Kingston and Toronto.  It is chaired by Providence Care Neuropsychologist Dr. Lindy Kilik.  The group's goal was to develop a companion set of pamphlets for physicians and patients, as well as their families, to review issues related to Driving and Dementia and to focus on clarifying the Ministry of Transportation process.

The pamphlets have now been completed and have been mailed throughout the province, targeting Family Physicians, Health Units, Driving Assessment CentresAlzheimer Society offices and their patients/clients.  They are also available online in a downloadable format here.
