Recruitment & Staffing Processes
As part of the recruitment process at Providence Care, we use a variety of tools to help us in identifying the best possible candidates. Below are some recruitment and screening activities that are utilized in our processes.
Pre-screen Telephone Call:
A member of the Recruitment & Staffing team may contact you to discuss the skills and qualifications highlighted on your resume, in greater detail.
Prior to an interview applicants may be required to participate in computer testing (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Typing Speed) or job related testing (e.g. Medical Terminology, Dictatyping, Scheduling, or other technical skills testing, etc.), specific to the qualifications outlined in the job posting.
Panel Interviews take place with two or more members of the hiring team (e.g. hiring manager and Recruitment and Staffing Specialist). Interviews are typically in person however may be via Skype in extenuating circumstances.
A minimum of three management/supervisory references are required for each new hire. References may be conducted prior to, or after an offer has been made, but all offers of employment are conditional on completion of satisfactory employment references.
Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screen:
Providence Care requires all new personnel to submit a Criminal Reference Check (CRC) as part of the selection process. The individual will be responsible for any associated costs with this process. The fee for this is incurred by the employee and is not reimbursed.Should an interview be granted, the applicant will receive instructions as to the procedure for obtaining the Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screen.
Additional information may be provided to you on any of the above noted processes, by a Recruitment & Staffing Specialist.
